About Harrison Housing
The Harrison Housing Service manages a range of properties in various locations across metropolitan Melbourne, providing tenancy administration and buildings and grounds maintenance.
We provide self contained housing for people able to care for themselves or for people who are receiving support from Harrison Client Services or other organisations to maintain their independence. Harrison's allocation of social and retirement housing is based on a housing application and registration process. Because we provide long-term housing we cannot provide timeframes for allocating properties and tenancy commencements depend on the type of property the applicant has requested and for which the applicant is suitable.
Social housing is long-term affordable accommodation for people on low incomes
Retirement housing is unit accommodation in one of our Independent Living Units. You or your spouse must be 55 years of age or over, or have retired from full time work before the age of 55, to be eligible to be housed in one of our retirement communities.
We have a number of mostly shared properties designated as supported housing for tenants in the Eastern Metropolitan area of Melbourne who are currently receiving support through a Harrison Client Services program.
Harrison does not provide emergency housing.
